Erin :: senior

So did anyone else expect Irene to mess up their travel schedule that much? I was set to travel for a wedding in LA this weekend (um, kind of amazing and can’t wait to share it) and flew out on Thursday, full well knowing that I might not return on Sunday as planned (I was scheduled to land in Boston at 8:00PM, exactly when the storm was to reach it’s peak). However, when my flight was canceled on Friday—yup…that early—I couldn’t get on another flight from LAX to BOS until Friday September 2nd. For real?!?! So they re-routed me through Long Beach on Monday morning with a layover in Austin for 4 hours (thank goodness I had a wedding and sessions to finish on my laptop) and I landed at midnight last night only to wake up this morning for school again. Yes, the school year has started (for teachers at least) and so my schedule has just gotten that much crazier. Oh lucky me:) Anyway, I promised Erin’s mom this session would be up last week but with all of that going on I got totally sidetracked and my internet access was spotty in LA so I couldn’t blog it, soooooooo I’m getting it up now. I’m so sorry Heather and Erin, I know how long you were waiting to see these…but I think it’s worth it:)

I met Erin on a beautiful evening a couple of weeks ago at the end of summer (sigh). Both her parents (yes I said BOTH of them!) came along to her session, which was just awesome. I love when a kid is getting that much support from her parents, it just makes me happy:) Erin is a synchronized swimmer—yeah, how cool is that?!?!—and is going to school for science, well, it’s more specific than just science but since we all know my unfounded apprehension with all things science related, I forget the actual major she’s looking into. However, I think it is so neat when a girl goes into a field that is generally male dominated and rocks it…so miss Erin, I’m expecting you to rock it:) Erin, you are as lovely on the inside as you are on the outside and I wish you so much success (and fun) in this final year of your high school career! I hope you like them:)

We started a bit traditional. I loved the light in the forest.

See with the awesome light?!?!

I love a moment like this one during shooting. Just a little bit candid.

You would never know the we were shooting in 100% humidity. Erin looked amazing…me on the other hand, well we won’t discuss my “look” that day;)

I thought we were going to get kicked out of this spot—but we had a little police backup just in case;)

Erin, love this shot. So natural.

Yowzers…intense! It’s so funny because Erin is full of laughter so I was psyched when she could pull out this serious pose:)
Photobucket

Yup…that’s more like it!

Honestly, this session was so much fun!

I love the light here. Erin was totally warmed up to the camera at this point and these are some of my favorite shots!

Favorite alert!!!

And this one just feels very real to me. Yup, she’s that cute.

Our final stop was a field that I have always loved and we caught the last bits of light for the evening.

And the colors were just perfect!
