Los Angeles Wedding Photographer :: Kelsey & Kyle

So aside from hurricane Irene messing up my travel plans, this wedding was amazing! Really, I am not even sure where to begin? Kelsey, Kyle, and I met at Kyle’s cousins wedding in June of 2010. I was moving out to LA and they were planning their wedding in LA, because Kelsey is a born and raised California girl;) We met up to chat when I was living in LA, did their engagement session while I was living in LA, but by the time their wedding rolled around I was already back in Boston. Oh, my schedule this year has left a bit to be desired (unless you love to travel, and then you would have loved my schedule).

I loved pretty much everything about their wedding day…everything except the crazy heat. On my way to the wedding I was stuck in traffic (huh…traffic…outside of LA…never…I have no idea what you’re talking about) and the temperature gauge in my car read 115 degrees. Yeah…you read that right, 115. I honestly looked at that number and said “that is a time…not a temperature!” For real. Thanks goodness it wasn’t 115 when I got to Westlake Village but it was still pretty hot.

Anyway, the way these two are with each other makes me smile, big HUGE smiles. I just love the way they look at each other and joke with each other and enjoy life with each other. Never a moment of stress with this laid back couple…just going with the flow. I had my friend, Natalie, along with me to shoot and we kept looking at each other with happy faces because everything was sooooo amazing:) Love it! I have so much photo goodness to share and I’m a little later than usual with my blog post so I’m just going to get right to it.

Let’s start with the details. Kelsey told me the bouquets were bright and yellow, very California she said:)

Kelsey’s dress was beautiful.

A little bit of hairspray never hurt anyone:)

Kelsey’s mom, Shelly, helped her into her dress. Love this moment.

While the girls were getting ready Natalie was over with the guys grabbing some before shots! Kyle, you’re handsome. Just sayin’!

Honestly, this might be my favorite shot from the day. Total spur of the moment shot and I’m so proud of myself!

Kelsey, you’re fabulous!

Really fabulous:)

Kelsey & Kyle chose to do a first look. I don’t even need to say anything here but I absolutely LOVE a first look.

The Westlake Village Inn had these covered walkways all around the property. Whatever, I love that California does stuff like that:)

This was a rose covered walkway. It rocked!

The Westlake Village Inn has several little hidden spots…and Kelsey really wanted to go out to the Vineyard part of the property for a few shots. Love this bridal party one:)

The light here was to die for.
