Copley Plaza Hotel Wedding Photos :: Alison & Jordan

Happy Friday everyone! I’m posting this in mid-afternoon here in California, but I know it is the end of the day for those of you on the east coast, so happy weekend!

I met Alison and Jordan for the first time on their wedding day. Sometimes that can be a bit scary, but not when your couple is this awesome! We ended up with the windiest day I have seen in a long time. And Copley Square in Boston is a wind tunnel on a normal day, let alone a day with wind gusts up to 50mph. Did this scare Alison with her gorgeous softly curled down-do for her wedding day? Not even a little bit. Gah I love my clients:) So we popped outside for their photos and for the bridal party photos and made do by finding corners that were less windy and awesome spots for them. Thank you Alison and Jordan for inviting me to be a part of your day and for rockin’ it out for me in the wind tunnel of Copley Plaza:) Onto the photos!

Family and friends—please click here to sign the guestbook if you would like to be notified when Alison & Jordan’s wedding gallery is released.

Alison wanted to hang her dress on this staircase (ahem, above a 5-flight drop to the bottom). I love when my clients have ideas and aren’t scared to try something different. Totally worth it and I LOVE this shot!

Alison glowed with her perfectly creamy skin tone and soft curls. I loved her classic look.

Here are the flowers…all done by her aunt’s company. Gorgeous!

A couple of details. This bracelet was her grandmothers. This is sitting atop ceiling tiles that were given to Alison as a gift from one of her bridesmaids. Not gonna lie…I wanted to take them home:)

My FAVORITE moment from the first look. Look at the incredible movement in the veil!!!

I LOVE a first look! Do I even need to tell you that anymore? Love it! These are Jess’s shots by the way and I love the emotion she caught here!

Then over to Trinity Church to take cover from the wind. The hilarious guys.

The beautiful girls:)

The whole bridal party:)

On the way back one of the guys wanted to grab a shot with the girls in their coats (it was a touch cold). So the whole party popped out one last time and we grabbed this shot. Love it!

Just before the signing of the ketubah we went outside for a few last shots before the daylight faded for good. Jess’s shot.

Love the simplicity of the library wall as a backdrop.

I even like the people in the background. True Boston to me:)

The sun was GORG and so I had to grab a few shots with the awesome light.

The ceremony was held inside the oval room at the Copley Plaza Hotel. There was not a bad spot inside this hotel at all. Notice the incredible ceiling? And beautiful uplighting? and gorgeous chuppah? Yeah, not a bad spot for an indoor ceremony:)

I shot a few with flash but I loved the feel of the ambient light—the warmth just fit the whole personal ceremony. I turned off my flash and shot these at an ISO of 3200 for those photographers who want to know. Love my Nikon D700…love it!

Inside the ballroom the finishing touches had just gone on the tables. The details here were fabulous!

We had to get a room shot once all of the candles were lit. Amazing!

Here’s the other angle from the cake. I couldn’t decide so I put them both in for you:)

At the end of the night we decided to take them outside for a moment and Jess grabbed this shot!

Probably my favorite of the night. I just like the marquee and the lights…oh, and the adorable couple:)
