Hello and welcome!

Hi I'm Lexi, welcome to my blog:) I am Boston-based wedding and portrait photographer and I LOVE what I do! I enjoy fluffer-nutter sandwiches, really windy days, and the smell of musty basements. I don't like waking up early, skiing, or people who drive slow in the fast lane. This is where I showcase lots of stuff about me, my photography, and my life. Some of it you'll care about and some…well…you won't. Here you will get a taste of who I am, what I do, and why I am obsessed with this thing called photography.

St. Anslem College Wedding :: Smith Barn Wedding :: Jessica & Jay

During our portrait session Jay told me that I should start this blog post by saying that Jessica and Jay are the BEST wedding clients I have ever had…and to be perfectly honest, that’s not far off;) I adore all of my couples (trust me, I’m super picky about who I work with and only take a select number of wedding commissions each season so I can have clients that I LOVE). And although I will never say that I have a favorite, because I don’t—like children (or students) you don’t pick favorites—but I will say that Jessica and Jay were probably my funnest wedding of the season so far. Their bridal party was ridiculously fun…Jess promised me that they would deliver and boy did they ever. The whole bridal party was up for anything at all and I love that—oh, and there were lots of the guys shots that were amazingly funny but totally inappropriate for the blog!

Jess and Jay had one of my very favorite engagement sessions ever because it was filled with laughter, and their wedding day didn’t disappoint either. I had my girl Angela along with me for the day and we had so much fun photographing this wedding. I know that Jess is patiently—well, sort of patiently—awaiting this post and so I’ll just get onto the photos. Enjoy!

Jessica’s dress was so beautiful. I loved the light in this shot.
Photobucket

A few details. They sewed Jess’s initials into her gown. Love that!
Photobucket

Jess and Jay chose to get married at the Abbey church on campus at St. Anslem college, where they met years ago. This is Ange’s shot and I adore the light pouring in from behind Jess and her dad.
Photobucket

The Abbey Church was stunning.
Photobucket

Another shot by Angela. I really love a real moment during the ceremony (you already knew that about me though).
Photobucket

The recessional. I just love you two!
Photobucket

After the family portraits but before the bridal party photos they had a little celebration with champagne.
Photobucket

I adore this series.
Photobucket

The flowers were done by Jay’s cousin, Priscilla Robinson. Her contact info is in the credits below. Email her, she rocks!
Photobucket

The guys had paisley pocket squares but Jay had a really neat boutonniere.
Photobucket

He kept trying a serious pose for Angela but this is what she got every single time. One of my favorite things about Jay is that he laughs with his whole body, he can’t stop, and almost falls over. I flippin’ love when someone commits to laughter like that…it makes me sooooo happy:)
Photobucket

The girls were gorgeous. Another fabulously beautiful bridal party. Jess told me “oh yeah, I’ve been collecting them for some time now” ;)
Photobucket

ANTM anyone?!?! Check and mark. Gorgeous. Oh, and girls without rings on your fingers…I’m expecting calls soon ;)
Photobucket

The guys did do one serious pose for me. I’m in love with this shot. Hotness gentlemen…hotness!
Photobucket

For fun!
Photobucket

Photobucket

I really wanted to do this shot but didn’t know if it would come out so I didn’t want to make the whole bridal party pose up there if it didn’t work, but one of the girls suggested we try it and I’m so glad we did! Favorite bridal party shot:)
Photobucket

Onto the incredible couple shots.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Angela’s view.
Photobucket

My view.
Photobucket

Love the simplicity of the gray staircase here.
Photobucket

Cuteness!
Photobucket

Haha…I knew they would like this. They were laughing through this whole series. I heart this shot.
Photobucket

Under the tree was kind of amazing.
Photobucket

Ange’s view on the way out from under the tree:)
Photobucket

Then we went to The Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm for the reception and the details were awesome!
Photobucket

Inside the barn. I love the amnesia roses and hydrangeas in steel pails, the herb accents, the lights in the barn, the apple seating cards, little bride and groom chalkboards. Loved it all Jess!
Photobucket

You’re both cute.
Photobucket

Practicing their dance.
Photobucket

Jess, you’re adorable:)
Photobucket

I kept telling Jay that he couldn’t hold a serious pose and he kept trying:)
Photobucket

Favorite alert!!!! Eff I love this photo.
Photobucket

Apple orchards rock my world.
Photobucket

Jess, you’re beautiful. Nuff said.
Photobucket

I HAD to put this one in, because this is them most of the time. Gah I love you guys!
Photobucket

First dance. My view.
Photobucket

Reason #1020 why a second shooter rocks. This is Angela’s view
Photobucket

I don’t usually include toast pics, but these were kind of awesome.
Photobucket

Just before dancing.
Photobucket

Dancing.

One last shot before I left.
