Boston Headshots :: Kristin

Happy middle of the week again! Whew…I really need us to get farther into June so I can feel better about life. I’m in one of those panic modes where I cannot seem to get caught up with anything in my life (grading, running, eating properly (you know, like REAL food), editing, blogging, social time, dishes, dog park) all of it seems somewhat insurmountable right now but I’m sure I’ll get there…just before I leave to go abroad and come back to that heaping pile again. Ha, the irony. I tease though, really, because I love what I do. :)

Kristin, she did NOT let me down! This woman is awesome all wrapped up in a beautiful, smart, fun, complete package. We chatted via email and I knew that with her ideas for the shoot we were going to come out with something awesome…and I kind of think we did. :) Kristin is starting a yoga blog. But not just a regular yoga blog (bleh). She is making a yoga blog for REAL life, for REAL people. Thank you Kristin…I cannot tell you how excited I am to be a part of this journey with you, and to read your new blog once it launches! I am all about yoga for real life. I totally love yoga, but I do not love all of the yogi lifestyle mantra that is pushed on you while you are enjoying your yoga practice. Annoys me really. And Kristin agrees. We need to embrace our practice while we are practicing. Embracing our pitfalls that day (ugh, yesterday I could stand on my right leg…not today) and celebrating our successes (I feel so much better in warrior pose today). She wanted headshots that celebrated the person she is (mom, wife, cook) and incorporated her love for yoga. I absolutely love the whimsy she brought to the shoot with her fun ideas and I only hope I could capture what she was envisioning. I hope you like these Kristin!

Kristin. You are beautiful. And that is all.

Love the house in the background. I love old estates near Boston.

And lastly, she changed into regular yoga clothes to get some final poses around the estate. Love these too!
