My name is Lexi, that’s short for Alexandra—but nobody ever calls me that. Everything in my life is related to photography. In addition to my business I also teach traditional darkroom photography to high school students at a public high school and I teach digital photography in an adult ed program at a local art college. Seriously…I have the BEST job(s) on the planet! 10 things I LOVE (in no particular order):
1. chamomile tea
2. lightning storms
3. the smell of the darkroom
4. Guinness, my chocolate lab
5. my husband’s smile and loud, unabashed laugh
6. grape tootsie pops
7. the silence of falling snow
8. the first warm afternoon in the spring, when the windows of the restaurants open onto the street and everyone is full of renewed life and energy
9. peppermint stick ice-cream
10. walking through freshly fallen bright colored leaves
10 things I hate (also in no particular order):
1. waking up early:(
2. stubbing my toe
3. when you get to the bottom of the toothpaste tube and you keep forgetting to buy it at the store and so you have to squeeze it out with all your might everytime you brush your teeth
4. when my computer freezes
5. when I get a pimple right in the middle of my forehead
6. that I am the first one in my family to be going gray—oh, and I’m the youngest!
7. slow drivers
8. that I have my father’s road rage
9. cleaning the refrigerator or the bathtub…eeeewww!
10. brushing the snow off my car in the morning
10 random things about me:
1. I love creative packaging and stationary stores (especially the Paper Source)
2. I am also a book artist (whatever that means)
3. I love the smiley face—:)— in emails and blog posts:)
4. I could survive on cream cheese & bagels alone
5. I swear in the car…a lot…no I mean a lot, a lot
6. I love to listen to music alone for hours
7. I love to dance while cooking or cleaning
8. I enjoy the smell of fresh rain on hot asphalt
9. I think heels work for every occasion—work, shoveling snow, driving, walking around my house, hanging on the couch, cutting down the Christmas tree—and my students tell me that they always know where I am because of my heels;)
10. I smile…constantly.
