Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm Wedding :: Kristyn & Nick
Kristyn and Nick were married at The Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm on one of the most beautiful days that Labor Day weekend has ever given us. It was sunny and breezy and in the high 70’s—just absolutely perfect! Kristyn had planned everything perfectly and all of her details were fabulous. Kristyn is spunky and fun and knows exactly what she wants—and she wants Nick! Nick is quiet and thoughtful and just a really great guy…you know when you meet someone and you can tell they’re just wonderful? Well, according to his best man’s speech I was right:) Also, as a side note, Nick totally reminds me of one of my friends from high school so that was very fun for me! Anyway, I just adore this couple and loved being a part of their wedding. Kristyn and Nick, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter together:) Onto the photos!

I love this particular moment between Kristyn and Nick. Can you feel the anticipation?!?!
Okay, I’m going to get up on my soapbox for a minute. I lo-hoooove a first look! Seriously people…it is so much fun to photograph this moment, it gives us more time as photographers, your family gets more time for mingling after the ceremony, everyone’s makeup and hair looks photo perfect, and you get more time with your guests and time to enjoy your wedding day. This is a win win win win for everyone involved. LOVE. Okay, I’ll get off my soapbox now.
Gah I adore this shot grabbed by Lindsey right after they first saw each other.
We then popped around the Smith Barn grounds for a few couple shots and I heart the spots we picked.
Kristyn was seriously huffin’ it in her heels, but I loved this little road we walked down:) The light and the wind picking up her veil here are perfect!
Speaking of heels, I really like the touch of peach that was brought into the wedding day colors.
The handsome and dapper Nick:)
This gate was such a fun backdrop.
This is a GREAT first kiss by the way—I love the bend and shape of their body language. Adorable!
This was an excellent moment caught by Linds.
Hott girlies! I just had to grab a shot with those trees in the background and the light pouring in.
The guys. This is Lindsey’s shot and she was soooo excited about it!
The whole bridal party. Okay, so we may have been blocking traffic to do this shot, we might have gotten yelled at, and YES, I would totally do it all again!
Loved the light on the road…loved it!
Fav…fav…FAVORITE of the day!!! Seriously, something about this image just makes me want to jump out of my chair I’m so flippin’ excited about it!
Every spot at Smith Barn is amazing. I just have always loved this venue and it didn’t let me down this time either.
As the sun was setting we grabbed this shot in the new apple orchards. The color is ridic…just is.
Aaaaah….a perfect pair (pear). Get it?!?! Love this ring shot by the way.
All of the details were beautiful. I really love a juniper bout like this one—understated, classic, and different. So weren’t the gray tuxes that the guys wore. I love when the guys wear a different color tux…I shoot so much black it is a nice departure for me. I know I know…it’s not about me, but I’m just putting it out there:)
Here are a few of the gorgeous details.
I am CRAZY about this shot. I love the light, the expression, the body language, the mood, the laugh…everything.
The toasts were all great, but Kristyn’s mother gave a particularly moving toast and I loved all of Kristyn’s expressions during them—this was obviously a fantastic laugh:)
A last shot of the exterior, thanks to Lindsey’s mad photo skilz!
