The Barn At Gibbet Hill Wedding Photos :: Kerry & Dave
I hadn’t met Kerry or Dave before their wedding day…well, at least not officially. We had skyped and so I felt like I had met them, but we had never met face to face. Of course, as soon as I did officially meet them they were as wonderful as they had been during all of our phone calls and skype meetings:) They were married at the beautiful Barn at Gibbet Hill, which is a fantastic spot…even in the rain. My first wedding of 2011 was a little bit rainy—alright, it was a LOT rainy. But rain doesn’t bother me, and as long as it doesn’t bother my couples then there is nothing to worry about! Kerry and Dave were awesome about the rain and I never saw their smiles fade all day long. I love that:) So let’s get to some of the photos!
That smile never left Kerry’s face the entire day. I love a happy bride:)
Seriously Kerry, you’re fabulous!
Kerry & Dave chose to do a first look. Do I even need to tell you how much I love this?
Didn’t think so. But just in case, check out this series. Gah I love this moment!
The ceremony was planned inside and I love that Gibbet Hill kept the integrity of the original barn-board.
Just a couple photos with gorgeous out-of-focus lights in the background.
The bridal party…rockin’ the umbrellas.
Girls with umbrellas…guys with flowers.
The guys…this shot was taken by my wonderful friend Lindsey, who was shooting with me for the day!
Alright, I couldn’t help myself. I have a few favorites of Kerry;)
The rain always brings out the color in everything…look at that green grass?!?!
This is a fabulous shot taken by my former student, Natalie, who came along for the day to observe and shoot. Beautiful shot Nat!
Another two by the fabulous Natalie. Okay, I’m a little jealous Nat. Of course, I’d be more jealous if I hadn’t taught you everything you know;)
Lindsey grabbed this one. Don’t they look sooooo happy?!?!
The light was beautiful after the rain.
You saw this in the sneak peek. I love when my clients have a little fun with their props!
Inside the reception. Kerry chose beautiful details.
First dance. I love the first dance…and their smiles:)
This is Kerry and her dad. I usually don’t include a shot of the father/daughter dance but I couldn’t help myself. The flash going off at the same time as my shutter (luck…oh…I mean TOTALLY on purpose) and the softness and flash flare on the left side. Amazing!
The rings. I used all the beautiful lights as atmospheric interest. Love it!
