Boston Senior Photos :: Rachel
Thank goodness it has finally cooled down a little bit out there. I spent the weekend in Toronto and it was hot hot hot up there. I shot lots of sessions in the heat in Toronto and I photographed this senior session last week in Amesbury before I left. I finally don’t have to have the air conditioning on in my office and I feel a little more like a normal person now…whew!
Anyway, I’m here to share with you the lovely Rachel! Rachel is entering her senior year and I really can’t believe that. This session was fun for me because Rachel was actually one of my photography students two years ago and I was so honored that she contacted me to do her senior portraits. I only do a few seniors each season and it’s extra fun when I happen to know that student:) She’s not taking any photo classes next year (boooooo!) but she is enrolled in lots of art classes and is considering art as a major in college (yay)! Anyway, I’ll just get to the pics already!
My favorite wall in Amesbury:)
But this is the Rachel I know best. Always smiling:)
The black and white against the dark brick wall is perfect!
Subtractive light. So during my photo shoots I tend to try and teach something as well. Here is an example of perfect subtractive light.
I had to make her laugh here:)
The light when we got to the field was amazing.
And Rachel really started to warm up to the camera. This one is my favorite Rach!
Oooh, but this is a close second:)
A little traditional, but fun too.
Another fav here. Maybe it’s the black and white Rachel…but I knew you would appreciate this because of your constant high contrast (#5 filter) printing.
I really loved the soft light at the end of the session too.
