Kate & Brett were married just a few weeks ago on what was supposed to be a rainy Saturday. I kept doing my “no rain” dance but it seemed to be determined to shower no matter what I did. So as I drove up to the Wentworth By The Sea Hotel in Rye it was pouring rain. I kept hoping the rain would stop but it just got worse and worse as I continued. So I figured this was just going to be a wet one; and although a little rain doesn’t scare me as a wedding photographer, I always hope for bright skies because that is just so much easier for my couples and for everyone involved. So as I walked to the bridal suite with all of my umbrellas in tow the rain just stopped, just like that. Like someone turned the faucet off. And not only did it stop but it didn’t start again until all of our photos and outdoor festivities were finished. We got an outdoor ceremony and gorgeous lightly windy weather, it was amazing! Kate and Brett, I am so thankful for your relaxed attitudes and happy smiles the whole day. Even when it still threatened with rain you both stayed so calm and made the day awesome. Here is your sneak peek post, and be warned that there are a LOT of photos in here!
• Kate’s dress was the perfect mix of lace and fun details, like a flirty ruched back
• I love when grooms choose a different color suit than black and Brett had the midnight blue tux from Vera Wang, love this tux!
• Long veils…I love long veils in the wind. <3
