This was exactly my kind of wedding! Kaija & Jeff contacted me just a few weeks before their planned Boston elopement, excited to have a small city hall ceremony. They also planned to include their pup, Bailey, which of course made me smile. :)
Kaija & Jeff decided to get married on the shortest day of the year, perfect though since they were planning a late morning ceremony. When the day rolled around it called for incredible rain and downpours, the first day in something like 10 days to call for rain…and it was going to RAIN! Kaija & Jeff were both so relaxed about it, 51 degrees at the end of December…sure we’ll take it! After the ceremony we were able to take all of their outdoor photos outside city hall in Chelsea (which is super charming compared to her big brother in the city of Boston) and then headed down to East Boston Piers Park. Piers park had crazy wind down by the water…but still no real rain to speak of. There was always a bit of drizzle but no real rain. Once we headed over to Reel House for the indoor luncheon it finally started to really rain so we got some photos inside with the stunning decor. Honestly, beyond lucky! Okay, onto the photos. :)
Favorite Moments:
• Both Kaija and Jeff were amazingly relaxed about their entire day, which made me relaxed. Even with the threat of rain these two were willing to go outside
• Bailey-pup! Bailey is their 11-year old chocolate lab mix and he was such a good sport about the photos. And we all know I love me a brown dog, especially one in a tux!
• Kaija’s laugh and smile were contagious…it’s also proof that I am really funny. ;)
Be sure to contact me if you are planning a Boston Elopement, minimony, or intimate ceremony. I LOVE a micro-wedding!
