I had the pleasure of photographing Grace many years ago for her senior portraits. [Pssst: if you just bypassed it, you should definitely click on that link.] I knew then that she was an amazing model and so great in front of the camera. Fast forward to years later and she booked a quick headshot session for some updated photos. We got a beautiful fall day for those and she was again just so wonderful in front of the camera. I got an email from her earlier this fall wanting to do some fall family photos outside Boston. She wanted to include her family, her boyfriend Justin, and their new puppy, Koa. I was totally on board for some family pics. Can you believe that this adorable family has never taken official family portraits before?! I truly cannot because they are beyond cute. But, I’m also truly honored that they chose me for their first official family portraits [insert blushing here].
Then, enter the most rainy weather we’ve had all fall up to this point in Boston (like storming washout rain with power outages everywhere) and I thought for sure we would never get to do outdoor family photos that week. But the weather kept calling for clear skies on our session date. I still was skeptical. But low and behold, on Thursday the weather was a bit overcast but beautiful for the start of the session. We hoped for more sunshine and somehow toward the end of the shoot the most perfect sunshine peeked through the gorgeous golden leaves and we got to finish the session with amazing fall light and color. Big love to this whole family, to Justin, and to Koa puppy too!
