As I said when I posted this on facebook…as a photographer I witness some really awesome moments from behind my lens. I watch my couples pledge their lives to one another weekend after weekend, I am there when my portrait clients are entering their senior year of high school, help my clients to remember the amazing first days of their childrens’ lives, capture the true and crazy moments of a family outing, experience my couples’ when they are alone with each other joking and laughing together. Awesome moments…all of them. But every once in a while I am invited to witness something really special, the very start of something really special.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited along by Casey to capture the moment that he proposed to his now fiancee, Christine. When I get requests like this I am overwhelmed and honored that someone would choose me to photograph such a special event. And when the day comes I am, yes, overwhelmed and honored (and fighting a case of the butterflies myself) while I actually photograph the moment as it unfolds in front of my lens. So Casey and Christine, thank you so so much for trusting me to capture such an incredible event in your lives and I hope you like this little sneak peek. :)

And I have to give a shout out to my clients from a few years ago, Kim and Adam! I adore these two and I actually photographed their proposal back in 2009 (whaaaa…how did that time pass?!?!) and although I was unable to photograph their wedding, we stayed in touch and Kim recommended me when she heard that Casey was planning to hire a photographer for his proposal. Kim and Adam, I cannot thank you enough for always recommending me to your friends. It honestly means the world to me. :)

Now there’s a romantic if I have ever seen one! Casey, good on you! Thank you for upholding the romance in this world. How sweet and precious it is! Hubby and I are 16 years in and each year we look forward to the next. Time, life, kids, jobs always contribute to how easy it is to put the romance and “your” time in the back burner.
