Love when I book a session for a high school senior and I show up and not only is she lovely, she’s also a photographer and is so good in front of the camera! This session was at the start of my school year but I was happy to break it up with this gorgeous shoot at the Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill for Maddie’s senior portraits. Maddie picked the absolute perfect day mixed in between a scorching hot day and our first rainy day in a long time. Sometimes the weather just ends up on our side and on this day it definitely was.
We got to explore a few of my favorite spots in Boston for senior portraits—the Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill. A lot of my sessions start here in the garden. From this spot you can go to the esplanade if you want a little water view, Newbury Street if you want something with a little more bustle, Back Bay for brownstones and large sidewalks, or Beacon Hill for tons of brick and tiny little alleyways. Honestly, you can’t go wrong from any one of those choices, it just depends on your mood and the vibe you are going for. For Maddie she wanted to change her outfit once we arrived in Beacon Hill and up the game with a slightly more dressed up version. Let’s take a look at the photos!
Favorite Things:
• Maddie was always moving and changing poses, which I love
• Perfect weather—this was a first day when I could feel a little bit of fall in the air
• The weeping willow tree, there’s always something about a weeping willow that makes me smile
I am a definite sucker for a good Boston public garden senior portraits session and would love to talk to you about yours!
