This was another stunning and beautiful afternoon for a Boston statehouse engagement, the light was to die for! I met up with Ashley & Matt outside of the Massachusetts State House for their engagement session. These two met while working at the State House and we thought it was apropos to start their session there. We then took a stroll through beautiful Beacon Hill (you know I cannot get enough of those brick houses on the hill and the tiny little cobblestone walkways) while the sun set over the city. There is just something about a city engagement session in the fall that makes me happy. We hit all the major points of interest in Boston—The Common, Public Garden, the state house and Beacon Hill. I think you will be able to tell that I have a bit of a romance with photographing in the city.
Talk about easy to photograph! Ashley & Matt have that comfortable kind of connection that just oozes love and familiarity. I just really enjoy photographing that kind of connection. Plus, these two smile and laughed the whole time, which meant that while photographing them I was smiling the whole time. :) We also got the most amazing weather on this September afternoon—clean bright sunshine and warm temperatures—my favorite kind of day to photograph! I’m on the later side of showing this blog post off so I’ll get right to the photos!
• Right away these two fell into a comfortable laughing fit that made even my first few photos perfect!
• I love when we can photograph somewhere personal to my couples—The Statehouse was a first!
• Beacon Hill will forever be a favorite spot to photograph in—something about all that brick and mortar. :)
I love a city engagement so if you’re thinking about a Boston Statehouse engagement then reach out to me to chat about your plans!
