Julie & Luke chose the Danversport Yacht Club for their wedding this fall, and it was perfect. This was a postponed wedding from last year but they kept their original date, which makes me so happy. I love that they were able to finally celebrate with their family and friends. Their wedding was classic tones of evergreen and white, the guys wore traditional black tuxes, and there was a bit of sparkle and fun too!
When I arrived that morning the girls were bustling around the room and hair and makeup was being finished. Julie had all the details perfectly set out on the bed and the dresses were placed in the doorway. Oh my goodness these DRESSES! I die just a little bit. Anthropologie off the shoulder fitted emerald green dresses. Seriously I die! The ladies carried beautiful understated green and white bouquets with tons of seeded eucalyptus (my favorite) by Blooms of Boston. Everything was classic and a beautiful.
The guys, meanwhile, were getting ready in Luke’s family home a couple of towns over. I love the quiet of the guys getting ready shots, especially when it’s in the family home. I know that Luke did not love getting his photos taken, but the camera truly loves him. There was even time for relaxed outdoor portraits as well. If not doing a first look but timed correctly we can usually get a lot done between getting ready and ceremony. Julie & Luke had a beautiful church ceremony in Beverly and then we were off to the reception!
Once we arrived at Danversport I found out that Julie and Luke had their boat docked in the slip in the marina right outside the venue. Again…I die! So after photos in the gardens we walked over to the dock and got photos on the boat and the marina. I’m just going to put it out here that everyone should probably bring their boat to their venue so we can use it for a few photos! Too much to ask?! Probably, but I think you’ll agree the photos are worth it!
Favorite Things:
- The emerald green BHLDN dresses…might be my favorite ever photographed
- That cookie cake…pretty and yummy!
- Julie was such a fun bride, always smiling and enjoying the day and you see it in photos!
