An Intimate Wedding at The Codman Estate

Well, we all know by now that I just LOVE an intimate wedding. Call it growing older—or maybe consider it growing wiser—either way, I noticed a few years ago that my personal preference in my life shifted from huge elaborate parties to much smaller intimate gatherings. So it’s no surprise that elopements and intimate weddings has become my focus also in my business these last few years. I am so excited that so many couples who are looking for that same type of intimacy have found me as their photographer. And today I’m absolutely thrilled to share the heartwarming love story of Tim and John. Their intimate wedding at the picturesque Codman Estate in Concord, MA, was filled with love, laughter, and endless smiles.

The Wedding Day

Surrounded by only their closest family and friends (just 10 guests), Tim and John chose to celebrate their love on a beautiful Thursday afternoon in late spring. late spring day. They donned matching black tuxes and bowties and were all smiles from ear to ear. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was brimming with happiness. The grooms fixed each others bowties, walked their mothers’ down the aisle, and ran to each other during the ceremony.

With personal vows that made everyone smile and laugh, to readings from family members that made everyone cry, the ceremony was a perfect combination of laughter and honesty. Behind them, the sunken Italianate garden was the perfect backdrop for this emotional ceremony, while the sun peeked through the trees and their guests looked on. The intimacy of the gathering allowed everyone there to truly savor every moment of this special day and feel a part of this union. Tim and John’s laughter was obvious and infectious, and you couldn’t help but feel the love that surrounded them.

Our Connection

Tim and John found me through their friends, whose weddings I photographed over the years. If you hire me after a friend (or a few friends) had me as their photographer, I always feel like I must be doing something right. It is truly the biggest compliment I could possibly receive. I knew that Tim and John trusted me to capture their intimate wedding with both heart and passion, and I was honored that they chose me to be a part of their beautiful day at the Codman Estate.
