Lois and Scott were married in one of my very favorite towns north of Boston, Newburyport. Everything about this town says quaint New England—and now that I live away from quaint New England I can tell you that its chahm is undeniable. (Those of you from Boston should understand what “chahm” is and if you don’t, well, then, I’m sorry…there’s no hope for you.) We got an overcast but beautiful day, the leaves were crackling underfoot, the sky was a perfect bright grey (better for photos folks), it wasn’t as cold as it could be (hey, it was November after all). The couple was amazing and awesome and totally in love, the bridal party was tons of fun, the party rocked all evening, the reception hall was gorgeous…all in all I would say it was perfect Lois…no?!?! Lois and I have known each other for a very long time, 20+ years at least. And in that time I have always adored her laugh. This girl laughs with her whole body, complete with gasps of air and a smile that completely lights up her face. It is one of the things I think of first when I think of Lois. That’s a pretty great attribute to have:) And the minute I met Scott I knew he was absolutely the one for her. He cares for her, dotes on her (well, as much as she’ll allow), and laughs with her. Lois and Scott, I was honored to share in your day and be there to capture all of the special moments. I know you are patiently awaiting this—well ever since I got the Facebook messages:)—so I hope you enjoy this sneak peek into your wedding day!

We started the day off at Marianne’s house and I loved the light in her front hallway. Lois is tiny so it was easy to find a good spot to hang the dress:)
Okay, and I love this, Lois wore customized Keds on her wedding day:)
All of the amazing florals were done by Jaqui of Fiddlehead Flowers. They were stunning!
Not gonna lie, this is one of my favorite florals shot I’ve ever taken. Adorb.
Here is Marianne putting the finishing touches on Lois. I always love this moment:) BTW, anyone recognize Marianne? Her’s was the first wedding I ever did on my own, the one that got me into wedding photography. I love when things like that come full circle.
Lois, seriously. Stunning! I could not take a bad photo of Lois all day! P.S. I love the mantilla veil.
I love these next two too. I couldn’t choose:)
The girls were awesome…and so weren’t the trees in Marianne’s front yard. Ahhhhh New England.
The guys, I kinda love this shot that Jess took.
The recessional is always a favorite.
I mean awesome! This shot was Jess’s idea and I kinda love it:)
There isn’t a bad tree in all of Newburyport either. I love the classic feel of this one.
Lois and Scott looked so good just walking down the sidewalks. Gorgeous.
You all know I’m obsessed with climbing ivy;)
This was such a great spot and I loved the brick wall and light post and bench and everything about it!
This was a fabulous moment during the toasts. I love your laugh Lois…love it!
Ring shot. This is also Jess’s idea (whoa Jess with the fab ideas last weekend). This is Lois and Scott’s music CD favor and we found the “you and me” song and it was perfect for the ring shot.
A few of the fab details at the Phoenix Room.
