Amanda and Matt were my only wedding of 2020, and it was a beautiful Newport Beach House wedding. This year has been so strange and so hard for anyone planning a wedding. All my other weddings got moved to next year for various reasons, but Amanda and Matt decided to still get married this year and it was the best decision they made! I knew since we had such a fantastic engagement session that their wedding would not disappoint…and it did not! They had an absolutely perfect Labor Day weekend wedding at the gorgeous Newport Beach House and every little detail was perfect.
Walking into the rented house nearby where Amanda and her bridesmaids were getting ready, I saw that they had set up a perfect collection of details for me to photograph. This wedding had tons of details: blush and gold details, his and her vows books, ring boxes, everything was perfect! The guys had navy linen suits and blush pink bowties, think relaxed but elegant beach wedding. Amanda did a first look with her father, which is quickly becoming a favorite moment on the wedding day for me. And although Amanda and Matt didn’t see each other before the ceremony, the outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean in Newport was the perfect backdrop to first see one another.
Some favorite moments were the outdoor ceremony overlooking the water, it was a stunner. We got perfect golden hour photos on the beach and it was absolutely ideal low lighting! And the guys had these wonderful slate blue suits that were super sharp. They photographed beautifully too!
Amanda and Matt wanted to create a wedding day that invited celebration and togetherness (despite the limitations on events in 2020). This day was full of family and friends and was very safely celebrated. I said it when I posted their sneak peek and I meant it—these two beautiful humans deserve every perfect moment they got. I was beyond honored to be the one to photograph their day and I think the photos speak for themselves. Let me just get to the photos!
