Orchard Engagement Photos :: Lindsey & Jon

This post is kind of special because Lindsey is my best friend. She and Jon are getting married next August and no, I am not their wedding photographer (that spot is reserved for one of our fabulous friends) but…I will be her maid of honor. So I was completely humbled when they asked me to photograph their engagement photos. Humbled and a liiiittttle bit nervous. Nervous because 1. photographing a fabulous photographer is always nerve-wracking and 2. Because I had never photographed Jon and was not sure he was going to be totally compliant with me. ;) Despite the nerves, and losing light fast, and fitting in actual apple picking at the amazing Honeypot Hill Orchards…I think we got some great shots!

Lindsey and Jon, thank you for all of the laughter, the random weeknight dinners, the good music, and the constant support you two have given me. Lindsey, our friendship has been filled with lots of laughs, a few tears, some inappropriate dancing, a few (too many) drinks on a few (too many) occasions, and let’s be honest here, it’s been filled with a lot of cheese too. :) We are sort of the same person and it’s only gotten worse with time. Jon, you put up with my talk about shoes (even when I go into the T-strap vs. stilletto vs. wedge vs. thick heel stuff), always play ball with Guinness-pup (who looooves when he sees you walk in), and reignited my love for baseball (all while explaining the weird random numbers and why some of the chairs are different colors thing). We had a rocky start, but alas there was fried pickles and 1970’s-Stevie Wonder on vinyl to bring us together. But mostly I had to like you because of how happy you make my Lindsey. :)

All kidding aside I adore you both and I cannot wait to celebrate in August…mwah. :*
