Emma and Tim’s New Hampshire elopement was an absolute dream. It wasn’t a big celebration or a bustling venue with tons of guests. Instead, they were married in a beautiful private lakeside ceremony in New Hampshire. It was both quiet and deeply personal—a true reflection of their love. Just the two of them, their justice of the peace, and me (the lucky one with a camera!).
They chose a secluded AirBnB, tucked away by a peaceful pond in New Hampshire—the whole day was intimate, romantic, and with just the right touch of moody magic. Late fall can give quite a chill in the air, but with a crackling fire at the ceremony site, the day felt cozy and magical. Let me tell you, there’s something about a fall elopement that just hits differently—intimate and raw in the best way.
After getting ready in the house, we did a quick first look outside and Emma & Tim walked hand in hand down a wooded path to a ceremony site scattered with rose petals. With just the three of us and their justice of the peace standing by the fire overlooking the pond, Emma and Tim exchanged their personal vows. The ceremony site felt like it was straight out of a storybook—a quiet pond was reflecting the overcast sky, the fire pit was glowing softly, and black candles were flickering in the late afternoon light. Emma and Tim wanted absolute privacy to focus entirely on each other and their love story, and I can’t imagine a more perfect setting for it.
As a thoughtful touch, they set up a GoPro to film their ceremony so they could share it later with family and friends. While no one else was physically present, it was clear that Emma and Tim’s loved ones were there in spirit. As the only other person witnessing their vows, I felt a huge responsibility to capture every detail. These photos weren’t just for Emma and Tim—they were for their family and friends who couldn’t be there. I wanted each image to feel like it carried the emotion of the day, so their loved ones could experience it as if they were right there with us.
One of my favorite things about photographing elopements is how each couple curates their day perfectly to match their personalities. On this day, I noticed how intentional Emma & Tim were with their time. We didn’t rush a thing. After the ceremony, we spent an hour wandering the property, capturing portraits of the two of them. The moody sky, the soft fall light of an overcast early December afternoon, and the beautiful reds and golds of the just past peak foliage season gave the photos such a cinematic feel. And Emma and Tim’s chemistry made my job way too easy!
Okay, let’s dive into the photos—they’re just too good to keep to myself!

This New Hampshire elopement was an excellent reminder of what weddings are really about: love, commitment, and celebrating your story in a way that feels authentic to you. It was private, romantic, and just a little moody—exactly as they dreamed it would be.
To Emma and Tim: thank you for trusting me with your day. It was an honor to stand by the fire with you, camera in hand, capturing the love and magic of your moment. I can’t wait for you to share these memories with everyone you hold dear.
