Okay, I’m going to be honest here and tell you that everything about an apple farm makes me happy and excited. So if you are planning your Red Apple Farm wedding then I am one excited photographer! I am a true autumn girl and have such fond memories of picking apples in the fall. What I never realized is how absolutely gorgeous an apple orchard can be in the spring! Add to that the perfect timing for the full apple bloom, a gorgeous couple, and perfectly overcast light and I am in photographer heaven!
Ashley and Matt were married a few weeks back on a day a bit similar to today. It was overcast and called for rain but it held off until after the photos and the outdoor ceremony, talk about perfect luck. Ashley and Matt are the kind of people you just enjoy talking to. They are kind, relaxed, smart, and entirely easy going. I knew this after loving their whole engagement session that was photographed at the Massachusetts State House last fall. And as expected with these two, their whole day was perfectly planned and had lots of personal touches—they had a bunch of friends standing up with them but not a traditional wedding party, Ashley had friends helping with the hair and makeup, she made all of the centerpieces, they had an apple cider donut cake tower (yumm), and they got married at a farm that Matt grew up working on. And not only that, but Matt’s childhood friend now owns and runs the Red Apple Farm and he also officiated the wedding ceremony…seriously awesome personal touches. I have so much more to share so let’s get to the photos!
Favorite Things:
• Ashley was copying down her vows the morning of the wedding and it was such a great little moment while getting ready
• I love an open-back lace gown, so classic and beautiful
• Matt was not to be outdone in his navy striped custom made suit…so dapper!
• A fully blooming apple orchard may be my new favorite new wedding venue. :)
