When you have known someone for many years it makes it all the more special to photograph their new family! Gosh Lois and I have some fun stories and many of them date back to grade school. I already had the opportunity to photograph Lois and Scott for their wedding a couple of years ago and was so honored that they asked me to photograph baby Vaughn (what a cool name right?!?!). The day of the shoot called for possible thunderstorms but the skies were bright and overcast and even though the wind was whipping something fierce down at the beach we decided to go for it. As Lois said, we had overcast days for their engagement and wedding so she wasn’t even a little bit afraid. ;) We ended up with a perfect evening for the session with no one on the beach at all because of the weather—score 1. It also starting pouring later that night and didn’t let up for a couple of days, aaaaand I found out that baby Vaughn got pink eye the day after the shoot so I’m still glad we chose that day—score 2. Oh, and Vaughn is a TOTAL flirt and he was maybe somewhat enamored with me. ;) What an awesome model! Anyway, let’s take a look at the photos.
Favorite Moments:
• Scott can toss Vaughn high in the air and he smiles ear to ear every time
• Vaughn’s army crawl is awesome, he even stopped to pose along the way
• The way Lois can make her boys (yes both of them) smile is awesome
• Vaughn has the “blue steel” look down…you’ll see. :)
