What an absolutely beautiful Saphire Estate wedding with the most relaxed couple. Shannan & Alex were supposed to get married in August of 2020, but as 2020 did with many of my couples’ weddings they were forced to postpone. So instead they had a small backyard wedding with friends and family and rescheduled the big day for this August. So this was more of a first anniversary celebration if you will. I just loved everything about this day! I knew after photographing Shannan & Alex for their World’s End engagement photos that they would be fantastic in front of the camera and they didn’t let me down!
They got a perfect warm beautiful day and were beyond calm and collected. The guys wore classic navy suits and the girls were in a stunning shade of grey-blue. Shannan carried a beautiful bouquet in shades of pink, white, and blush for their outdoor ceremony. We were able to go down to the water just before sunset for some photos on the lake. And even though the sun was hiding from us, we got that perfect, even, overcast light that felt like a nod to the weather during their engagement session. Everyone present was so excited to be there and everyone was happy to celebrate the union of these adorable high school sweethearts. There is just something about a couple who has been together for many years. There is a comfort in the way they interact and love one another, and it was evident to everyone celebrating with them. There were tons of heartfelt moments and you could feel it everywhere. Saphire Estate was the perfect backdrop for Shannan & Alex’s wedding and I was honored to be there to photograph their amazing day.
