I’ve known Eli for a bunch of years now. He’s my nephew Nathan’s best friend and I was honored that his mom, Annie, Trusted me enough to photograph his senior portraits! We decided to take his senior photos in beautiful Newburyport and got a gorgeous fall day. There is something about the light in and around Boston in the early fall that I just die for…something about that warmth! Because of the pandemic I hadn’t seen Eli in years…since I brought my nephew and him to a comedy show the year before the pandemic. It was wild to see how much he grew up (and how fast time flies). Eli is an only child and so I knew this would be a particularly special shoot for mom, and we even grabbed a few of them together. Note: I will ALWAYS photograph you with your kid if you would like to jump in a shot or two toward the end of the session. Always. Never even shy away from asking.
On this particular afternoon I discovered my very favorite spot for a quick photo that gives me the best light and a perfect backdrop of greenery and brick with gorgeous late day sunlight pouring in. And…I’m keeping it a secret it’s so good! (The pics of him and his mom are in that spot.) We started his senior photos on the boardwalk in Newburyport and ended by the water for the sunset. This was after a little jaunt through town giving us brick buildings, staircases, and so much more for backdrops. Let’s get right to the photos…since I know that’s what you are here for!
