I’ve known Marissa for a while now. I photographed her senior portraits about a decade ago and then I also had the pleasure of photographing her two sisters’ for their senior portraits in the following years. She has since moved to another part of the country so when she contacted me to ask if I would photograph her first family portrait (including her brand new daughter and her extended family) on a visit back home I was beyond honored and so excited that she reached out to me! Ava is only 2 months in these photos and I could not believe she was so attentive and looking at the camera for almost the entire hour! Amazing! Marissa asked for fall vibes in her photos and I knew Smolak Farms was the perfect backdrop for her family portraits.
Favorite Things:
• I’m a sucker for all things fall, so if you invite me to an apple orchard and pumpkin patch for photos I am just about the most excited photographer in the world!
• Every single person wanted their own photo with Ava…not only was she so good for photos but she also may be the most loved little girl I’ve ever met. :)
• Marissa broke the session into two parts—her own family session and then extended family—it was perfect!

I love photographing families, but especially in the fall. If Smolak Farms or another beautiful orchard is your idea of a family portraits backdrop, then I’d love to discuss your ideas! Feel free to contact me to schedule your shoot.
