I’ve had some wedding seasons where it seems to rain on every wedding, and other seasons where it’s always scorching hot. This season it seems to be all sunshine, all the time. And I will definitely take it! A few weeks ago on a beautiful Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Kim & Drew’s perfect Willowdale Estate wedding. These two just make you feel happy—they are relaxed and fun and so isn’t their entire family and friends, and Lindsey and I loved being able to photograph it all.
Kim told me she didn’t like the more freeform bouquets and instead opted for these gorgeous tighter bouquets with blushes and greens and beautiful succulents (you know I’m a sucker for succulents in a bouquet). They planned everything for the reception in the courtyard and under the beautiful Sperry sailcloth tent on the patio of Willowdale estate for this wedding. Gorgeous sunshine beamed through the background during the introductions and through the toasts giving us some awesome lighting in our photos. The cake cutting was done under the bistro lights in the courtyard (favorite spot for cake cutting)! Equipped with all the warm sunshine and the perfect timeline and you get this awesome wedding day. :) I know that Kim has patiently been awaiting this blog post so let me get right to the photos.
• Kim was just the happiest bride, every photo she was smiling :)
• I adore a good cake cutting, especially when it’s under bistro lights and there is a little face-cake-smooshing. ;)
• Kim & Drew truly had the perfect timeline allowing them time for photos, time with friends and family, and even time to relax. Perfect!
